On January 26, 2008, the Palestinian nation lost one of its most important, resilient and committed figures, Dr. George Habash. While we deeply mourn the loss of Dr. George Habash, as Palestinian youths from around the world we stand together to express our admiration for the leadership Dr. Habash exhibited as founder of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine and one of the greatest torchbearers of the Arab nationalist movement.

In striving to defend Palestine and her people, as well as unite the Arab people in the face of injustice, oppression and tyranny, Dr. George Habash has emerged as a truly unique symbol.
Though he may have passed on, his legacy, principles and vision will continue to inspire our generation. His leadership and courage to stand before the powers of the world to proclaim and defend our rights and our nation are a testament to his unwavering ideals and his unyielding determination to fight for justice and for the cause of his people.
